Vol. 13 No. 1 (2025): Maret
Jurnal Venus, Volume 13, Number 1, March 2025, presents seven research articles addressing marine engineering, navigation, vessel manoeuvring, shipboard maintenance, and navigational safety. This issue discusses factors affecting the initial starting of a ship’s main engine, the relationship between exhaust-gas conditions and generator-engine performance, and the use of GPS in determining vessel direction and position. Other studies examine ship manoeuvring during anchoring operations, lifeboat maintenance, optimization of bridge watchkeeping to prevent collisions, and failures involving auxiliary-engine piston rings. The studies published in this issue contribute practical knowledge for improving machinery reliability, navigational accuracy, preventive maintenance, watchkeeping performance, and overall shipboard safety.
