Direct Marketing Policy
Policy governing journal promotion, calls for papers, author invitations, direct communication, mailing practices, and responsible scholarly outreach.

Policy Statement
Jurnal Venus is committed to responsible, accurate, transparent, and professional communication when promoting the journal or inviting scholarly contributions.
Direct marketing activities, where undertaken, must be appropriate to the academic scope of the journal and must not use misleading statements, aggressive solicitation, excessive messaging, deceptive claims, or promises of guaranteed acceptance or publication.
Promotional communications must accurately represent the journal's ownership, editorial process, peer-review system, publication schedule, fees, accreditation, indexing status, and other relevant journal information.
01
Purpose of Direct Marketing
Direct marketing or scholarly outreach may be used to communicate legitimate information about Jurnal Venus to researchers, academics, practitioners, institutions, and other relevant members of the scholarly community.
Appropriate communication may include information concerning calls for papers, newly published issues, journal policies, academic activities, special issues, scholarly events, deadlines, or other information relevant to the journal's academic community.
02
Responsible Scholarly Communication
All promotional and direct communication conducted on behalf of Jurnal Venus should be professional, respectful, relevant, and factually accurate.
Communications should:
  • clearly identify Jurnal Venus as the source of the communication;
  • accurately describe the journal's focus and scope;
  • provide truthful information about the submission and peer-review process;
  • accurately state applicable publication charges or the absence of such charges;
  • use only verified indexing and accreditation information;
  • avoid exaggerated or unverifiable claims;
  • avoid unnecessarily frequent or repetitive messages; and
  • provide relevant contact or journal website information where appropriate.
03
Calls for Papers
Jurnal Venus may publish or distribute calls for papers to inform prospective authors about opportunities to submit scholarly manuscripts.
Calls for papers must accurately describe the journal, its scope, manuscript requirements, publication schedule, editorial process, and applicable submission conditions.
A call for papers must never state or imply that submission guarantees acceptance or publication.
04
Invitations to Authors
Editors may contact researchers or scholars whose expertise is relevant to the focus and scope of Jurnal Venus to invite manuscript submissions, reviews, commentaries, or other scholarly contributions.
Invitations should be targeted, academically relevant, and based on legitimate scholarly considerations rather than indiscriminate mass solicitation.
Invited manuscripts are not automatically accepted. Unless a clearly stated article category follows another approved editorial process, invited submissions remain subject to the journal's applicable editorial evaluation, ethical requirements, and peer-review standards.
05
Prohibited Marketing Practices
Jurnal Venus does not support deceptive, coercive, aggressive, or misleading approaches to journal promotion.
Unacceptable practices include:
  • sending excessive or repetitive unsolicited messages;
  • using misleading subject lines or false urgency;
  • claiming guaranteed or automatic manuscript acceptance;
  • promising publication without proper editorial assessment;
  • falsely claiming indexing, accreditation, metrics, rankings, or affiliations;
  • misrepresenting editorial board members or reviewers;
  • creating unrealistic expectations regarding peer-review or publication time;
  • using fabricated testimonials or endorsements;
  • pressuring authors to submit manuscripts; or
  • using harvested personal information irresponsibly for mass promotional communication.
06
No Guaranteed Acceptance or Publication
No direct marketing communication, invitation, call for papers, personal correspondence, or promotional message from Jurnal Venus constitutes a guarantee that a manuscript will be accepted or published.
Manuscripts are evaluated according to scholarly quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, peer-review findings, and the journal's editorial policies.
07
No Misleading Publication-Time Claims
Promotional communications must not promise unrealistically rapid peer review, immediate acceptance, guaranteed publication dates, or preferential editorial treatment.
Actual editorial and peer-review timelines may vary depending on manuscript quality, reviewer availability, revision requirements, editorial workload, and production processes.
08
Accreditation and Indexing Claims
Any accreditation, indexing, abstracting, citation, metric, or journal-profile information used in direct marketing must be current, verifiable, and accurately represented.
Jurnal Venus must not describe itself as indexed, accredited, ranked, or affiliated with a service or organization unless that status can be verified through an appropriate official source.
Current journal accreditation information should be stated accurately as SINTA 5, Decree No. 177/E/KPT/2024, for as long as that accreditation status remains valid.
09
Transparency Regarding Publication Fees
Marketing and promotional communications must clearly and accurately reflect any author charges applicable at the time of communication.
At present, Jurnal Venus does not charge authors an Article Processing Charge for submission, editorial processing, peer review, acceptance, or publication.
Current Article Processing Charge: IDR 0
10
Personal Information and Contact Data
Contact information obtained through manuscript submission, peer review, editorial correspondence, user registration, or other journal activities should not be used irresponsibly for unrelated mass marketing.
Any use of contact information for journal communication should be relevant to legitimate scholarly or administrative purposes and handled consistently with applicable privacy obligations.
11
Communication Preferences and Opt-Out Requests
Individuals who receive non-essential promotional communications from Jurnal Venus may request that such communications be discontinued.
Reasonable requests to stop receiving promotional or marketing communications should be respected. Essential communications relating to an active manuscript submission, peer review, editorial responsibility, or other ongoing journal activity may still be sent where necessary.
