National Accreditation

SINTA 5

Jurnal Venus is nationally accredited at SINTA 5 under Decree No. 177/E/KPT/2024, with an accreditation period valid from October 2024 to October 2029.

Maritime Research and Professional Knowledge

Jurnal Venus is an open-access and peer-reviewed international journal published twice a year, in March and September, by Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar, Indonesia. The journal publishes research results, scholarly ideas, and professional studies contributed by lecturers, instructors, cadets, researchers, academics, and maritime practitioners.

Jurnal Venus welcomes high-quality original research articles, literature reviews, and special-topic contributions in nautical studies, marine engineering, port and shipping, and other related maritime disciplines. All manuscripts must be written in English and prepared using the official VENUS Word Template.

Submissions must be original, methodologically rigorous, and clearly written with sufficient detail to support transparency and reproducibility. All claims should be supported by appropriate evidence and logical reasoning.

Literature review articles should include at least 20 references, with a minimum of 80% drawn from peer-reviewed journal articles published within the last five years.

Jurnal Venus collaborates with professional maritime organizations to strengthen scholarly communication, professional networking, maritime research, and the dissemination of knowledge within the maritime sector.
