National Accreditation

SINTA 6

Jurnal Venus is accredited at SINTA 6 under Decree No. 177/E/KPT/2024. The accreditation covers Volume 9, Issue 1, 2021 through Volume 13, Issue 2, 2025.

Maritime Scholarship and Professional Knowledge

Jurnal Venus is an open-access and peer-reviewed international journal published twice a year, in March and September, by Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar, Indonesia. The journal publishes research findings, scholarly ideas, and professional studies contributed by lecturers, instructors, cadets, researchers, academics, and maritime practitioners.

The journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, literature reviews, and special-topic contributions in maritime transportation and related disciplines. All manuscripts must be written in English and prepared using the official VENUS Word template.

Submitted manuscripts must be original, methodologically rigorous, clearly written, and supported by appropriate evidence and logical reasoning. Authors must provide sufficient methodological information to support transparency and reproducibility.

At least 80% of references should preferably consist of peer-reviewed journal articles published within the last five years.

Jurnal Venus collaborates with professional maritime organizations to strengthen scholarly communication, professional networking, and the dissemination of maritime knowledge.
